Sunday School / Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Sundays – 8:40 a.m.- 9:40 a.m.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Atrium) at St. Williams is a Montessori-based, hands-on Catholic faith formation program for children 3-6 years old.  It is held from 8:40-9:40 on Sunday mornings.  The Atrium is a specially prepared room where children can come to know Jesus, the Good Shepherd. They can grow in their relationship with God through a deep engagement of Scripture through gospel stories, parables of the Kingdom and learning about the liturgy.

Children's Liturgy of the Word is held during the 8:45 Mass on Sundays during the school year.  During the Mass, children from 1st through 6th grades have the opportunity to read and discuss the Scripture readings with peers while being guided by adults.  They then return to the Mass in time to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharistic.
