When you visit

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go? We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us or talk with an usher when you visit.

When are services?

Mass Times
Saturday: 4:00 pm

Sunday: 9:00 am

Daily Mass
Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30 am in the Chapel (Door 4)

When is confession available?

Saturday: 3:30 pm (or by appointment)

What should I wear?

How we dress conveys respect and honor. When you dress appropriately for Mass, it tells God that He is worth the effort and He deserves our best. As long as your heart is here for Jesus, your clothing should be what makes you feel your best for God. If a suit and tie feels respectful to you, please do so. If you are more present and less self-conscious in casual dress attire, then do so. We want you to come for your spiritual growth, not your attire.

How do I get to The Church of St. William?

Our Parish is located at 6120 5th St NE, Fridley, MN 55432-5099. Here is a map.

Where do my children go?

We love families and children. Please come as a family and enjoy Mass together in church. If your child needs a break during Mass, there are seats in the Gathering Space and a large area to walk around and still participate in Mass. We also offer Atrium for children ages 3 through kindergarten during the 9:00 am Sunday liturgy. School-aged children have the opportunity to participate in Children's Liturgy of the Word at the 9:00 am liturgy during the school year.

I’m not Catholic ... so, how do I know when to sit, stand and kneel?

It can feel uneasy when you are unsure when to kneel, sit, and stand during Mass. In reality, these actions have great symbolism and are designed purposefully. Once Mass is well-understood, these actions make much more sense and visitors can easily join in.

I’m not Catholic ... is it okay for me to participate in communion?

Although we would love to extend an invitation to all to join in the Eucharistic Communion, however, unfortunately our Catholic beliefs regarding the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist are quite different than other denominations. We continue to pray that one day we will all be able to join in at one Eucharistic Table.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

In order to provide a beautiful space to worship, we need continued support from our parishioners for our building upkeep and for our ministry both in the church and in our local community.
